Deccan Chronicle increases advt tariff by 30%

MUMBAI: Deccan Chronicle Holdings, publisher of English dailies Deccan Chronicle and Asian Age, on Wednesday said it has increased advertisement tariff across all editions by 30 per cent.

"Deccan Chronicle Holdings has increased its advertisement tariff across all its editions by 30 per cent with immediate effect," the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company added that it has launched its new financial daily "Financial Chronicle" on April 16, with editions in Hyderabad and Chennai.

On January 28, the board of directors had approved the launch of the financial daily and had appointed Mr Shubhrangshu Roy as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the venture.

Shares of Deccan Chronicle were trading at Rs 151.40, up 3.06 per cent on the BSE in the afternoon trade. - PTI
