Corporate Results MUMBAI: State-run Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (BRPL) on Wednesday posted a 40.54 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 30.65 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006, as compared to Rs 51.55 crore for the same quarter in last fiscal.
The total income (net of excise) grew 20.96 per cent to Rs 1,490.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 1,232.33 crore in the year-ago period, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.70 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year 2005-06. For the year 2005-06, the net profit stood at Rs 174.76 crore as compared to Rs 478.30 crore for the year 2004-05. The total income (net of excise) for 2005-06 was Rs 5,674.02 crore against Rs 4,570.39 crore in 2004-05. The company's shares were trading at Rs 68.35, up 3.01 per cent at the BSE. - PTI
