Rains continue to lash Delhi

NEW DELHI: Delhiites woke up to a wet morning on Thursday as rains continue to lash the National Capital for the fourth successive day on Thursday.

Due to water-logging in many areas, traffic came to a standstill. Heavy traffic jams were reported from ITO, Connaught Place, Lakshmi Nagar, Lodhi Road, Mukherjee Nagar, Kingsway Camp, R K Puram and South Extension besides other places as police had a to ugh time managing the vehicular movement.

Showers were reported from different parts of the city, a Met official said, adding that rains will continue to lash the city throughout the day. The Met office has predicted generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers for Frid ay. - PTI
