Govt/States Shree Cement to set up 6-million tonne plant in MP KOLKATA: Shree Cement Ltd on Monday signed a MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government for setting up a six-million tonne cement plant at Katni at an investment of Rs 2,000 crore. A company spokesman said that a 50-MW power plant would also come up there. Shree Cement at present has a production capacity of eight million tonne per annum at its plant located in Rajasthan. On capacity addition, the total production capacity would go up to 10 million tonne by the year 2012. The company expects a turnover of Rs 2,500 crore during the current financial year, and Rs 3,500 crore in 2008-09. - PTI
