Court rejects bail pleas of former PW auditors

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday rejected the bail pleas of two former auditors of Price Waterhouse, Mr S Gopalakrishnan and his deputy Mr Talluri Srinivas, who were accused in the multi-crore Satyam fraud case.

After failure in their attempts to secure bail from the lower court, the defence counsels of the duo had approached the high court which dismissed their bail application. Mr Gopalakrishnan and Mr Talluri were in judicial remand and lodged in Chanchalgud a jail along with Satyams disgraced founder Mr B Ramalinga Raju and others.

The CBI has opposed their bails application informing the high court that presently it was scrutinishing the documentary evidence as regard to misappropriation and diversion of funds from Satyam Computers and there was a possibility of their tampering wi th the records if they are released. – PTI
