Keyboard error

I have this problem occasionally with my PC. When the system is opened, there is a message, ``Keyboard error or no keyboard present.'' Immediately I check for loose connections and find nothing wrong. As I cannot use the cursor during this time, I usually reset the PC or restart it. After two or three trials the error gets rectified. What can be the problem?

Here are some ideas for you to try that might work, otherwise you need to get in touch with your hardware vendor. 1. Please open the case and softly jiggle the box for the port, it might be loose. 2. See if any metal is touching the motherboard anywhere that it should not be. 3. Try using a different keyboard. 4. Try switching the keyboard to the mouse port, unless your mouse is USB. 5. Make sure all connections are solid. 6. Please make sure that none of the pins on the keyboard are bent or broken.
