•  Hughes Tele plans to raise Rs 1,078 cr from vendors -- To expand product offerings
HUGHES Tele.com (India) Ltd, the private sector basic telecom services provider operating in the Maharashtra telecom circle and category-A Internet service provider, proposes to raise funds to the tune of Rs 1,078 crore as credit from its vendors.

•  Mascot CEO promises quarter of change
FOR Mascot Systems, the current quarter should be ``a quarter of change'', according to the CEO, Mr Gerhard Watzinger.

•  Mindteck Q4 net up Rs 33.26 lakh
MINDTECK India Ltd, a global software services company, has reported a net profit of Rs 33.26 lakh for the quarter ended June 30, as against a loss of Rs 89.8 lakh for the corresponding period last year.

•  HP to invest $1 m in tech access centre
HEWLETT-PACKARD on Monday said that it would invest $1 million in setting up a Partner Technology Access Centre (PTAC) in India, which will help uses port and test their applications on Itanium.

•  Innareddy in pact with chemical tech institute
INNAREDDY Computer Software Associates (India) Ltd (ICSA), the Hyderabad-based software solutions provider, announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement with the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) to use heuristic engine (HE), a proprietary forecasting tool developed by the former, for prediction of outbreak of vector-borne diseases.

•  Surana Telecom in talks for tie-up
SURANA Telecom Ltd, a Hyderabad-based company engaged in the manufacture of jelly-filled and fibre optic cables and jointing kits, is in parleys with Semitel/Tomen Corporation, Japan, for supply of MCVDs (modified chemical vapour depositions).
