Error message

I am using Win 98 with IE5.5 on a PIII 550Mhz system. I get an error message when I open and close my Win Explorer. What does the reference to PDM.DLL mean and how can I sort this problem?

The error message is as follows: EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module PDM.DLL at 023f:4a01259d. Registers: EAX=00000000 CS=023f EIP=4a01259d EFLGS=00010246 EBX=006c0314 SS=0247 ESP=01d1fe44 EBP=00000000 ECX=006c1a20 DS=0247 ESI=006c1ee0 FS=3a0f EDX=00000004 ES=0247 EDI=006c0304 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 8b 10 ff 52 08 83 c6 04 eb c9 53 ff 15 f4 00 02 Stack dump: 00000000 006c03f0 006c02f8 00000001 4a01275a 006c02f4 006c03f0 00000000 4a012fed 006c02f8 4a012b06 006c0510 00000000 00000000 00000000 006c05d0
