•	Bharti ESOP at 50 pc discount BHARTI Televentures, the flagship company of the Bharti group, will be offering its 4,000 odd employees stock options (ESOPs) at 50 per cent discount, following its proposed IPO in January 2002.
•	Wipro bags 2 telecom orders WIPRO Technologies announced two new orders in the broadband telecom systems space, including setting up a cable ISP solution for Iquara Broadband, part of British Gas and setting up of a joint development centre for Santera, a provider of next generatio n switching systems.
•	Ibhar products get XP logo IBHAR Sales, the software product from Chennai based Ibhar Software Pvt Ltd said that it became the `first' Indian software product company in the category of enterprise solutions -- customer management, to be certified for the Designed for XP logo.
•	ExcelSoft ties up with UK firm EXCELSOFT, the Mysore-based IT solutions provider, expects to double turnover this year to Rs 36 crore even as it enters into a 50:50 joint venture with UK-based Bell Media to cater to the European market.
FUNDING
•	Not for angel investor? ARE IT enabled services -- call centres, help desk et al -- an attractive sector for venture capital (VC) investments? Judging by the prevalent popular opinion, the answer is yes. However, there is a contrarian view being voiced, which claims that the IT -enabled sector may not necessarily be the right sector for VC investments.
