INDIAN Airlines will be launching a short-term promotional scheme, Desh-Videsh-II. Under this scheme, passengers who travel on Indian Airlines domestic network against Indian rupee fares for a value of Rs 75,000 would be eligible for one free return international ticket on any specified sectors.

If the travel is to the value of Rs 90,000, the passengers have the choice to redeem one international return ticket in Business Class.

Passengers who travel to the value of Rs 1.10 lakh would be eligible to two free international tickets on specified sectors. For a value of Rs 1.30 lakh, passengers would have the choice to redeem two international return tickets in Business class.

The scheme is open between November 16, 2001 and February 15, 2002.

The validity of the prize tickets would be one year and the return journey would have to be completed within the validity period or by February 27, 2003, whichever is earlier.

``Also, there would be blackout periods for utilisation of tickets, which would vary from sector to sector,'' says a press release from Indian Airlines.
