PENTAIR INC has launched Pentair Home Washing Machine Filter, an online filter. Meant for enhanced wash quality, it can be fitted at the inlet of the water line of the washing machines. It comes with a sediment cartridge filter, which reportedly removes dirt, rust, sand and suspended particles up to 10 microns, thereby making the water clear. It is also meant to prevent the formation of scales and deposits in the wet parts of the washing machine as well as remove dirt, resulting in cleaner clothes and less usage of detergent. It is available in two models — WMDR 1A (dirt and rust) and WMSP 1A (scale prevention) and is priced at Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 respectively.
