SONY INDIA has launched a top-of-the-line home theatre system, DAV-SC8. The product is equipped with Sony's proprietary "S-Master" digital amplifier. It also has a 32-bit DSP processor that is supposed to reproduce the surround soundstage. The other features include DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro-Logic II decoding, which reportedly ensure that every footstep, ricocheting bullet and the racket of the raucous crowd is reproduced. It is priced at Rs 59,990.
