ESSILOR has launched Airwear spectacle lenses. These polycarbonate lenses claim to be 43 per cent lighter, about 30 per cent thinner, 38 per cent flatter and 10 times more impact-resistant than ordinary plastic lenses. They also claim to offer 100 per cent UVA and UVB protection. The lenses have been branded as Airwear Titus and Airwear Crizal, and are available with all leading opticians across the country.
