SINGER has launched a progressive range of sewing machines called Quantum Series. The machines in this category have been priced between Rs 5,500 and Rs 1.5 lakh. It has 262 stitch programmes, two alphabets (block and script fonts), numerals and eight-button hole styles. The Quantum series has an LCD with contrast control and an auto needle threader. Other features include needle-up/down function, 24-needle position and twin needle and mirror stitch. The features can be exploited to aid in deft functions like straight stitch, zig zag stitch and multi zig zag stitch, free arm sewing, blind hem, zip fixing, and appliqué, monogramming.
