MIRC ELECTRONICS has launched split air-conditioners. The Onida split AC is powered by an imported, tropicalised rotary compressor. It has a cooling capacity of 19600 BTU per hour, claimed to be one of the highest in its category. The split AC's power-saving compressor reportedly reduces energy bills despite delivering higher capacity. It also boasts a three-stage filtration that eliminates bacteria and provides pure and fresh air. The AC comes with an LCD remote. It is priced at Rs 26,500.
