Disk players

PHILIPS INDIA has unveiled what it calls two best-value DVD players that play practically any disk format. The Philips DVP 62K, priced at Rs 5,990 in addition to other formats, also plays MPEG-4 and DivX 3.11/4.x/5.x. It also has a microphone input for karaoke. The Philips DVD 622 is priced at Rs 3,990. It claims to offer progressive scan for sharp and flicker-free images. The other features are the 192kHz sampling together with the 12-bit resolution that gives a much richer audio reproduction.
