Pentair has launched Pentair Home RO, a reverse osmosis (RO)-based water purifier, in Southern markets. It is suited for purifying borewell/salty water. It claims to use special membranes under high pressure to remove suspended, dissolved, bacterial and chemical impurities up to 0.0001 micron from water. These RO systems also claim to have the ability to solve the fluoride problem prevalent in the water in the Southern part of the country. Available in three models, CT Deluxe, Uspa & USP 10", with prices ranging from Rs 10,990 to Rs 16,990, these Home RO systems are widely available across the country.
