Philips India has launched the Intelligent Water Purifier with battery back-up. One can reportedly operate it without any supervision. It has various global certifications as well as that of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). It is available in four models in the price range of Rs 8,500 - Rs 12,500. It will be available across 90 cities in India by the end of September 2007.
