Who Killed Change? Ken Blanchard A lounge that is meant for leaders and managers is the venue for an evening meeting. All the suspects are to be gathered there at 7 pm, and the murderer is to be announced! Hey, where are we? In one of the concluding chapters of Ken Blanchard’s ‘thriller’ titled Who Killed Change? ( www.harpercollins.co.uk). He describes the assemblage in the room, thus: “Vision was standing at the window with her hands clasped behind her back, appearing oblivious to the crowd behind her. Budget and Culture were side by side on one of the couches. They took turns whispering to each other.” The ‘scene of the crime’ that the book opens with has Mike McNally investigating the third homicide case of the month – all with the same last name, Change. With the investigation of Change fatalities having become his life’s work, McNally could see a clear pattern to the deaths. “Change would be introduced to an organisation with varying degrees of reception. From all appearances Change would begin to integrate into the organisation and then, without warning, Change would be found dead, quite often with no apparent injury. The evidence was always scant and a sole perpetrator had never been identified.” Fun read but with poignant messages. ’ D. Murali More Stories on : Books | Book Mark
