FCB Ulka appoints Surjo Dutt as National Creative Director

FCB Ulka has appointed Surjo Dutt as National Creative Director. Dutt joins FCB Ulka from Sapient Nitro where he worked as Head of Creative – Delhi. Apress release says Dutt played a key role in the most successful year for Sapient Nitro’s advertising business since its inception in India. The Delhi office won marquee creative projects for brands such asNestle, British Airways and Philips during his 15-month stint. The British Airways campaign #fuelledbylove and Nestle’s corporate campaign titled #100andrunning were successful and highly awarded. Prior to this Dutt was with JWT Delhi as Vice-President and Executive Creative Director (ECD).

He began his career with JWT as a trainee copywriter 17 years ago. Inhis 17-year stint, he has worked on a huge variety of brands and categories including pretty much all brands in JWT Delhi.

Some of the brands Dutt has worked on included Pepsi, 7UP, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Slice, Tropicana, Frito Lay, Nestle, Airtel, Nokia, GSK, Hero Motocorp, Unicef, Congress, Nokia, Hamdard and Radikal. He was also a part of JWT’s global High Performance Group for 2 years.

Amod Dani to head Creative at Sapient Nitro (North)

Sapient Nitro, part of Publicis.Sapient, has brought on board AmodDani, previously Vice-President - Creative at AffinityX, as Creative Head for the Northern region.

With over a decade of experience in advertising, Dani has worked with brands such as Škoda, Citibank, McDonald’s, Cadbury, Asian Paints, Procter&Gamble, Vista Print (Global) and won awards at festivals such as Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, The One Show, The Clio awards, Spikes Asia, AdFest Asia, Goafest and The Award Australia.

At AffinityX, Dani was responsible for spearheading and driving the creative vision for a staff of 1,900 highly skilled creatives to provide white-label creative and marketing services for companies that serve small and medium businesses (SMBs). Prior to AffinityX, he played a key creative leadership role at Publicis, Contract and Leo Burnett.

Reporting into SapientNitro India’s Chief Creative Officer K.V. Sridhar (Pops), Dani will be responsible for driving creative excellence across all clients in the northern region of India, as well as lead and shape the team to deliver work that breaks boundaries at the intersection of technology and story. On his new appointment Dani said, “I believe that innovative use of technology and an integrated approach towards problem solving is the way ahead.”
