VA Tech Wabag has turned in a stable performance in the backdrop of tough market conditions for the fourth quarter of 2015-16.
The company on Friday reported a net profit of ₹68.54 crore on total income on a consolidated basis of ₹858.83 crore for the quarter ended March 31. During the corresponding period in the previous year it had reported a net profit of ₹70.50 crore on income of ₹907.73 crore.
For the Chennai-based multinational company engaged in water and wastewater management and recycling, the domestic market contributed ₹52.07 crore (₹53.71 crore) in profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items during the quarter, while the rest of the world contributed ₹144.21 crore (₹85.33 crore).
For FY16, net profit was ₹92.19 crore (₹110.10 crore) on total income of ₹2,538.57 crore (₹2,435.15 crore).
Rajiv Mittal, Managing Director, said in a press release the company has sustained the performance in the backdrop of a tough global macroeconomic condition.
During the year the company bagged orders of over ₹ 6,000 crore, taking its order book to ₹8,300 crore, he added.
