Amara Raja Batteries Ltd posted a lower profit of Rs 99.85 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2017, as against a profit of Rs 130.66 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
The battery major's revenue for the first quarter was, however, higher at Rs 1,684.96 crore as against Rs 1,465.28 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
For the fiscal ended March 31, 2017, the company had closed a profit of Rs 478.49 crore and income of Rs ,6030.63 crore.
Amara Raja shares were trading at Rs 821.75, up 2 per cent during the day at BSE.
