Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on December 27, 2011, have approved the following investment approvals:
1. System Strengthening in North/West part of WR for IPP Projects in Chhattisgarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 1746.65 Crore, with commissioning schedule of 32 months from the date of investment approval.
2. System Strengthening in Southern Region-XIV at an estimated cost of Rs. 297.33 Crore, with commissioning schedule of 32 months from the date of investment approval.
3. immediate Evacuation System associated with Barh-II TPS at an estimated cost of Rs. 901.77 Crore, with commissioning schedule of 32 months from the date of investment approval.
4. Transmission System for Phase-I Generation Projects in Jharkhand and West Bengal - Part A2 at an estimated cost of Rs. 2422.66 Crore, with commissioning schedule of 32 months from the date of investment approval.
