The Finance Ministry has extended the validity of anti-dumping duty imposed on flexible slabstock polyol (FSP) imports from China, South Korea and Chinese Taipei by one year.
FSP is a polyether and is used to make polyurethane foams used in upholstery, mattresses, pillows, bolsters, transport seating and packaging. Anti-dumping on FSP imports from China, South Korea and Chinese Taipei will be valid until August 30, 2015, the Revenue Department said in an order issued on Thursday.
The move follows the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry recommending the extension.
In August, the Authority had initiated the second sunset review of FSP imports from these countries. Manali Petrochemicals, the sole producer of FSP in India, had filed the petition seeking a review.
