Mangalore-based Arvind Motors Pvt Ltd (dealers of Tata Motors) will launch its new 3S (sales, service, spares) facility in Mangalore on May 2.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Aroor Kishor Rao, Managing Director of Arvind Motors, said that the new 3S facility has come up on a four-acre plot at Kuloor near Mangalore. It has a built-up area of around 76,000 sq ft.
Keeping the needs of the public transport operators in mind, the company has decided to keep the service facility open from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Most city buses, run by private operators in the region, can get this facility. The private bus operators do not have to cut their trips during the day time.
Apart from the 3S facility, the new premises at Kuloor will also house the corporate office of the company. The corporate office will be shifted from Mangalore city to Kuloor, he said.
The Managing Director of Tata Motors Pvt Ltd, Karl Slym, will inaugurate the new 3S facility on May 2. Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles Business Unit), Tata Motors Ltd, will be present on the occasion.
The directors of the company, Sanjay Rao and Aroor Arjun Rao, were present on the occasion.
