French technology major Atos has won a five-year global data centre transformation contract from Huntsman Corporation, a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals.
Under the agreement, Atos will assume the services and support of several Huntsman global data centres, actively manage cost improvements, increase overall efficiency and effective service provisioning.
Additionally, Atos will manage a global transformation project to consolidate services and operations into two US sites located in Texas. These are currently spread over three regional locations in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
“The Atos team is engaged in assessing our business requirements, developing a robust global data centre solution, and proposing a tenable project plan for both our IT and business organisations. We are confident in our partnership as we embark on this transformation, and look forward to achieving the mutual objectives of a successful implementation,” said Maria Womersley, Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer of Global IT at Huntsman.
