Audi’s vehicles sales in India rose 15 per cent to 2,616 vehicles during the first three months of 2013, compared with 2,269 units sold during the same period of last year.

The German luxury car-maker sold 1,104 vehicles in March 2013, a 10 per cent rise from 1,002 units sold during the comparable month a year ago. The company sold 9,350 units between April 1, 2012, and March 31, 2013, it said in statement.

“The first quarter of 2013 was a winning quarter for us. We sold close to 90 per cent of our annual sales of 2010 (3003 units) and recorded the best ever quarter in the history of Audi in India,” said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

Audi India plans to expand its network to 34 dealerships by the end of 2013 from the present 25. The Company had recently opened new showrooms in south Mumbai and Lucknow.
