Aurobindo Pharma Ltd’s consolidated net profit increased 39.7 per cent at ₹534 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, compared to ₹382 crore in the previous year period.

The total revenue of the Hyderabad-based company went up 10.4 per cent at ₹3,495 crore (₹3,166 crore), it told the BSE on Tuesday. The earnings per share stood at ₹9.16 (₹6.58). The board of directors has approved a third interim dividend of 70 per cent per equity share of ₹1 each for the year 2015-16.

Aurobindo had paid a first interim dividend of 50 per cent and second interim dividend of 60 per cent in September and November 2015, respectively. The third interim dividend will be paid by March 1.

In December 2014, the company’s US arm Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc had acquired Natrol LLC.

The Aurobindo scrip lost 0.43 per cent on the BSE on Tuesday to end at ₹743.30.
