The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) will observe a two-day strike beginning March 28 across all branches of the Bank of India.
The strike was called after the bank management and the unions failed to come to a consensus on a variety of issues such as adequate recruitment, health check-up of employees, reimbursement of petrol expenses of workmen like officers and outsourcing of staff.
AIBEA had deferred the strike from February 24, following a “positive assurance” from the management.
While the bank has 4800 plus branches, work across 333 of them and over 80 ATMs may be adversely impacted, AIBEA said in a release.
