Bharti Airtel, which has been facing a lot of churn at the top level for many months now, today appointed Anand Chandrasekaran as the Chief Product Officer.
Chandrasekaran will lead product conceptualisation, design and development across the B2C segment of the company’s domestic operations and will report to consumer business director Srini Gopalan.
He will be responsible for driving user-interfaces, content partnerships and product experiences across the Internet ecosystem.
Chandrasekaran, who is an MS in electrical engineering from Stanford University, joins Airtel from Yahoo where he was senior director for global search products and a member of the search leadership team.
Prior to Yahoo, he was director of product management at Openwave.
