Birla Corporation has reported higher income but lower profit in the fourth quarter as well as financial year of 2014. On a ₹793.5-crore (₹666 crore) income from operations, it recorded a net profit of ₹26 crore (₹73 crore) in Q4 of 2013-14. The annual net profit stood at ₹130 crore (₹270 crore). The board recommended a dividend of ₹6 (60 per cent) a share. The Birla Corporation stock closed at ₹305, up 2 per cent on the BSE.
