BNP Paribas Wealth Management has appointed Masroor Batin as Managing Director and Head of Non Resident Indians (NRIs) based in Singapore. The appointment is with effect from July 1, 2014.
Masroor joined the Indian markets team of BNP Paribas Wealth Management to lead the NRI bankers from Singapore and Hong Kong, the company said in a statement.
Masroor brings with him a deep and extensive knowledge in wealth management accumulated across the US, India and Singapore. Before joining BNP Paribas, Masroor had been Market Director for Singapore in Julius Baer and Merrill Lynch.
Prior to Singapore, he spent 12 years in the US managing teams in charge of NRI clients for both Citibank and Merrill Lynch and more than two years in India as Market Director for Merrill Lynch. Masroor holds an MBA degree from the Calcutta University.
