BS Limited has announced it has bagged several orders worth Rs 722 crore from various power utilities, including in Madhya Pradesh.

The Hyderabad-based infrastructure and EPC services provider in the power sector, in a statement to BSE, has informed that the orders are for turnkey EPC contracts for 220 kv and 132 kv transmission lines and associated sub stations in Madhya Pradesh.

The projects, funded by the Asian Development Bank, are aimed at strengthening the grid and enhancing transmission capacity, bringing in much needed electricity to the region to meet the growing domestic and industrial demand.

Rajesh Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of BS Limited, said, “These projects in Madhya Pradesh will enhance capacity and operational efficiency in electricity transmission and distribution system where BS has a strong presence. Our EPC business has been growing at a rate of around 20 per cent year on year basis and we continue to focus our efforts in India and are exploring business in South Asia, Middle East and North Africa regions which have immense potential.”

These orders will contribute to EPC business earnings until mid 2015, he said.
