The cement industry welcomes the Budget proposals focussed on infrastructure and housing, said AV Dharmakrishnan, CEO, Ramco Cement.
Dharmakrishnan said the target of providing 6 crore houses for urban and rural poor is unprecedented and will benefit the industry. Measures to boost infrastructure will sustain demand in the long run, he said. The Budget has measures to simplify taxes and enhance ease of doing business, he said.
