Chargewave Energykem is in talks with power sector players and manufacturing firms for export of its optimizer chemicals useful to improve efficiency of boilers.
“We have developed a technology solution TurCom launched earlier this year and produce and market optimiser chemicals. These chemicals when used in boilers, and the use of technology solution, improves boiler efficiency by about 10-12 per cent,” PS Anand Prakash, Chief Executive Officer of Chargewave Energykem, said.
Addressing a press conference here today, the CEO of the Hyderabad-based company said power plants and industrial boilers can optimise their operations by using the software and the compounds developed by the company. The coal and biomass consumption in boilers can be lowered by about 15-20 per cent.
The use of these chemical compounds helps bring down carbon fuel consumption in rotary kilns, blast furnaces, foundary and ferro alloys furnaces.
The company has been working with Hetero, United Breweries, KPC, Mylan, Emami Paper and Neuland with its boiler efficiency solutions.
He said recently the energy auditors at PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), Indonesia, one of largest coal miners, has certified a 9.7 per cent reduction in coal consumption using the software solution.
The company’s currently manufactures 200 tonnes of optimizer chemicals and supplies to its clients. These include Aurobindo Pharma, Hetero among others. It has capacity to scale this up to 1000 tonnes depending upon the market demand, he said.
