Three Chinese wind turbine manufacturers have shown interest in setting up manufacturing units in India — Dong Fang, Shanghai Electric and Sinovel. Sinovel is a little ahead, having acquired the manufacturing facilities of the Godawat Group.
The others are in the process of either finding a local partner, or setting up facilities here, according to sources.
