Colgate Palmolive has posted a 16 increase in net profit from ₹112.83 crore to ₹130.86 crore for the third quarter.
Net sales were up by 12 per cent at ₹988.6 crore.
The FMCG company recorded volume growth of 5 per cent for the quarter on toothpaste where it has a volume share of 56.7 per cent and is the leader in the category.
According to the company, growth has come from its flagship brands such as Colgate Dental Cream, Active Salt, Max Fresh, Colgate Total and Visible White.
Its focus on driving efficiencies, reducing costs and innovating to drive premiumisation has led to gross margin expansion by 230 basis points.
