Private sector housing finance company DHFL on Tuesday said its net profit rose by 18 per cent to Rs 152.19 crore in the second quarter ended September 30.
Company’s net profit in the same quarter of 2013-14 stood at Rs 129.13 crore.
“Total income stood at Rs 1,450.59 crore, an increase of 27 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year,” it said in a release.
Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) stood at 0.78 per cent and net NPAs, after taking into account total provision, was zero.
The loan book (outstanding) grew by 25 per cent to Rs 44,742.10 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
And loan disbursed and sanctioned were Rs 4,257.90 crore and Rs 6,125.49 crore, respectively, showing an increase of 31 per cent and 39 per cent from a year ago period.
DHFL shares closed 2.49 per cent higher at Rs 333 apiece on the BSE today.
