Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL) has today launched indigenously developed heavy duty security gadgets "Road Blocker" and "Tyre Killer".
These gadgets provide high level of security against unauthorised vehicle access. They were launched at a function at the company’s factory by P Sudhakar, its Chairman and Managing Director.
The tyre killer is aimed at securing sensitive areas from forced and unauthorised entry or exit of motor vehicles. Tyres, axles and suspension of motor vehicles will be destroyed when forced entry or escape is attempted. The blocking is by means of solid spikes, a press release explained.
The road blocker on the other hand will protect high security establishments, heritage buildings and critical infrastructure. Developed and designed by ECIL engineers, the High Security Road Blocker can withstand direct impact loads. It is fully motorised and is operated with the help of a hydraulic compressor. The gadget operates even in no power conditions.
