G. Uday Kumar, 58, has taken charge as General Manager Incharge of Industrial Systems Group (ISG), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL). Prior to this, Kumar was General Manager (GT, NBS, HR & Medical) at BHEL-HPEP, Hyderabad.
A mechanical engineering graduate from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Kumar has 34 years of experience working in different areas including oil rigs, pulvarisers and also as Director (HR) at the erstwhile BHPV, Vizag, which is the 17th unit of BHEL. He also headed HR at BHEL-HPEP, Hyderabad, before being elevated as General Manager Incharge to head BHEL-ISG.
Kumar has undergone training on the advance class 6F Gas Turbine at GE, Belfort, France and has been deputed to Oman twice to assist BHEL-Power Sector commission gas turbines supplied by BHEL.
