Godrej Security Solutions today showcased Goldilocks, a product designed and developed in-house by the security solutions major as a, “My Everyday Locker”, hinting at introducing one more product with three racks useful for a family.
The company plans to focus in the domestic market this year with the product which the company claimed was pretty unique as nothing else on these lines is available in the market.
“While in the six months of the current financial year we are targeting sale of over one lakh units in the country, we will consider exporting the product to other markets. Already, we have been receiving enquiries from our network of partners,” Mehernosh Pithawala, Associate Vice President and Head of Marketing, Godrej Security Solutions, said.
Addressing a press conference to introduce the new locker here priced at Rs Rs 6499 per unit, he said the three shelf locker will be introduced by the year end. “However, we are yet to decide on the pricing of the upcoming product,” he said.
The country’s top security solutions provider, which closed last fiscal with a turnover of Rs 750 crore, expects to log in revenues of Rs 860 crore this year. Of the Rs 750 crore, the banking sector contributes about Rs 450 crore, retail Rs 170 crore and the rest comes from exports and other segments.
Mentioning about the hectic urban lifestyles, he said once the person returns home, he tends to place his valuable belongings at one place or the other only to find it hard to locate them next morning. The Locker is aimed at helping place all such important things at one place. These could be wallets, keys, watches, daily wear ornaments, iPods and similar devices. The best part is the locker can also be carried to other locations, he said.
