Kolkata-based Greenfield Software, a data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) company, is eyeing business opportunities in North America and West Europe, including the UK.
The two-year-old start-up has so far restricted its presence to India.
Greenfield Software provides integrated energy efficiency and sustainability software solutions for DCIM through its flagship product, GFS Crane.
DCIM refers to a category of solutions that converge IT and building facilities in an organisation by providing administrators with a view of the data centre’s performance so that energy, equipment and floor space can be optimally and efficiently used.
According to Sekhar Dasgupta, Director, Greenfield Software, the company has appointed four channel partners to tap markets in North America and Europe.
“Our primary focus would be in catering to the majority of small and mid-size firms, that have data centres ranging between 500 sq ft and 400,000 sq ft,” he said. The company does not share revenue details.
The DCIM market globally pegged at around $1 billion.
In India, Greenfield’s clientele include companies such as IDFC Ltd, CESC Ltd, a PSU oil and gas major and a private sector bank.
Set up in 2011, the company’s flagship product, “GFS Crane”, was launched in 2013. A 10-rack data centre infrastructure management solutions is priced at $ 7,000 annually. Servicing is done online.
