Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL) has reported 89 per cent jump in the consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September 2014 to Rs 106 crore against Rs 56 crore in the same period last year. Net sales jumped by 80 per cent to Rs 1,254 crore against Rs 695 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

During the current quarter, company’s wind turbine business grew by over 81 per cent to Rs 576 crore (Rs 318 crore). The chemicals business grew by 33 per cent to Rs 361 crore from Rs 271 crore last year. The company is also engaged in multiplexes business under the brand ‘Inox’.

The company has registered standalone net profit of Rs 38 crore for the second quarter ended September 2014, up 46 per cent from Rs 26 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Standalone net sales for the quarter increased 33 per cent to Rs 351 crore from Rs 262 crore.

For the first half period ended September 2014, company posted net profit of Rs 55 crore, up 12 per cent against Rs 49 crore reported in the corresponding period previous year. Net sales for the first half stood at Rs 634 crore, up 23 per cent against Rs 514 crore in the previous year.

GFL shares ended positively on Wednesday at Rs 732 with a gain of 1.92 per cent over previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
