GVK Reddy, Founder-Chairman and Managing Director of GVK Group, was honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his outstanding contribution to Aviation Sector in the country.
He was presented this award at India Aviation Conference and Exhibition in Hyderabad. GVK has been at the helm of the public-private partnership initiative in India and has developed two world class airports at Mumbai and Bengaluru, in addition to airports in Indonesia.
The GVK Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru was rated the Best Airport in India in a tie with Hyderabad International Airport at the first ever Aviation Awards.
The Aviation Awards 2014 were organised by SAP Media and audited by international audit firm E&Y. The winners were chosen by a panel that included Kapil Kaul, CEO, South Asia, Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA), Saroj Datta, Former Executive Director, Jet Airways and Trilok Desai, Executive Editor, Worldwide SAP Media. Other winners from the sector included Indigo Airlines, Air India and Jet Airways.
