Future Consumer has entered into an equal joint venture with Tilda Hain India (part of the US-based Hain Celestial Group) to manufacture, market and distribute natural and organic products. The joint venture company would manufacture FMCG products at Future Group’s food park near Bengaluru. The products would include snacks, plant-based beverages and kids food products under several brands belonging to Hain Celestial brands such as Terra, Garden of Eatin and Sensible portions.
“The company and Hain India each shall hold 50 per cent of the paid-up share capital of the joint venture company. Both shall have the right to nominate three directors each on the board of the JV company,” Future Consumer said in a BSE filing.
Future Consumer, a part of the Future Group, operates in the food and FMCG space with 27 brands including Tasty Treat, Nilgiris, Golden Harvest, Sunkist, Sangi’s Kitchen, Desi Atta Company, Kara, Swiss CareMate, Clean Mate, Think Skin and Fresh & Pure in over 65 categories.
