Former Managing Director of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) India, Hasit Joshipura has been appointed as chief of L&T corporate centre and also been inducted into the group’s executive management committee. He will be responsible for corporate functions and will drive the implementation of the company’s strategic plan.
The corporate centre functions as a nodal unit across all businesses and group companies.
Joshipura is an alumnus of IIM- Ahmedabad and a doctorate from School of Management, IIT- Mumbai. He has over 33 years of experience in organisations including the Tata Group, Unilever Group and Johnson & Johnson.
Commenting on the appointment, Group Executive Chairman of L&T, A M Naik said that in the rapidly changing business environment, Joshipura’s diverse experience will add fresh perspective to various businesses.
