Hassia India is eyeing increasing its exports to more than half of its total sales in the next two years.
The company is into flexible packaging machines, and has been renamed IMA Dairy & Food Holding Hassia India since the recent acquisition of its German parent Oystar by Italian packaging giant Industria Macchine Automatiche S.p.A. (IMA).
The combination of German and Italian excellence and technological prowess will help Hassia make gains in the domestic market, and strengthen its footprint in South Asia, South East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, West Asia, K Ravi, managing director said.
With a current turnover of Rs 50 crore, it expects to cross Rs 100 crore in the next three years. The company’s current exports stand at around 30 per cent of the turnover.
“We are looking at 20 per cent growth year-on-year with a key focus on becoming an export oriented company by 2017, with a projected turnover from overseas markets to be over more than 50 per cent,” he added.
Hassia has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located at Sanaswadi near Pune and currently operates in three segments of the packaging industry – fill nd seal cups, vertical form fill and seal machines and sachets.
