The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL), on Thursday said it has appointed Rajat Bhargava as the Head of Strategy and Performance Transformation and Marcus Feichtner as the Head of the newly-created division of Engine Design & Development.

Both these appointments are with immediate effect, the company said in a statement.

The company said Bhargava would be part of Hero MotoCorp’s top leadership group and would report directly to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Pawan Munjal. Feichtner will report to the Head of Research and Development.

“Rajat has the ideal expertise and experience to play an important role in helping us. He will develop and execute the group performance agenda, define and drive special initiatives, and support me in our performance transformation initiatives,” Munjal said.

“As we go through one of our most exciting phases, a technological ecosystem will also form the core foundation of our growth. This is where Markus will play a critical role with the ideal credentials, experience and domain knowledge in strengthening this development process,” he added.

Bhargava comes from McKinsey & Company where he was Senior Partner based out of Gurgaon, while Feichtner comes from Austria-headquartered AVL, where he was the Executive Director of AVL’s India Technical Centre, also based out of Gurgaon.

Shares of Hero closed at Rs 2,109.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 0.17 per cent from the previous close.
