HiGrit, a start-up that advises start-ups on legal and other statutory compliance issues, has raised seed funding from two Chandigarh-based investors. The founders refused to divulge the size of the investments but said that they might go for another round soon for expansion.
The Delhi-based start-up roped in about 110 lawyers and chartered accounts in different parts of the country into a panel of experts.
“A large number of start-ups have no clue on how to go about it in terms of registering their entities with RoC (Registrar of Companies) and other relevant statutory compliances. We provide them the advice,” Ashish Bais, Chief Operating Officer, told BusinessLine after receiving the funding.
HiGrit.com offers business services that allow individuals and start-ups to get a customised service based on their respective needs. “Packages include convenient, one-stop services for business incorporation, tax registrations, trademark and copyright and other mandatory compliances,” Manish Singh, Chief Executive Officer, said.
Users can call an expert for instantaneous answers and book an appointment with experts for consultation. The firm takes a part of the fee from lawyers and CAs.
An IIT (Khargapur) alumnus, Manish worked as a EU Compliance Specialist at Amazon, while Ashish has a Masters degree in Information Systems from Illinois State University.
