Honda Cars India (HCIL) on Tuesday launched the anniversary edition of its family sedan, Amaze, to mark the first anniversary of one of the company’s best-selling cars in the Indian market.

It will be available at a special price of ₹71,861 over the price of the standard ‘VX’ and ‘S’ variants.

Currently the Amaze 1.2 VX MT (1.2 petrol) is priced at ₹6.64 lakh and the VX MT (1.5 diesel) is priced at ₹7.49 lakh. The Amaze S MT (1.2 petrol) and S MT (1.5 diesel) are priced at ₹5.69 lakh and ₹6.65 lakh respectively (all ex-showroom, New Delhi).

This edition will come with some sporty features including front under-spoiler, side under-spoiler, rear under-spoiler, trunk-spoiler along with door visors and exhaust pipe finisher, the company said in a statement.

The interiors of the car have also been further enhanced with premium upholstery and a contrasting wooden finish panel on the dashboard, it said.

The car will also have an ‘Anniversary edition’ emblem to highlight the special edition and will be available in ‘VX’ and ‘S’ variants in both petrol and diesel, it added.

“Honda Amaze has been a game-changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold. It is Honda’s constant endeavour to provide freshness to our products and create excitement in the market,” Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, HCIL, said.

The car has received a good response ever since its launch in April last year, selling more than 80,000 units across the country, he said.
